If the client is not connecting, check the following:
- You have the latest version of both the iPhone app (1.1) and the server (1.1.1)
- The server application is installed and running
- The computer and the device are connected to the same local network
- The computer's firewall allows incoming connections for the server
How to tell if the server is up to date
New in v1.1: If you previously installed version 1.0 of the server, you will need to update the server. To determine what version of the server you have, click on the StereoStream icon in the menu bar and choose "About StereoStream..." from the menu. Listed along the top of the window will be the version number. If you have version 1.0, please update here.
Version 1.1 and later of the server update automatically.
How to tell if the server is running
New in v1.1: The first time StereoStream Server starts, it will display a window confirming that the server is running.
When the server starts, iTunes will launch and a small StereoStream icon will appear in the menu bar.

If a device is connected to the server, the first (grayed out) item in the menu bar will read "Connected".

How to tell if the computer's firewall allows connections
Open System Preferences and choose "Security". Open the tab labeled "Firewall".

Make sure that either "Allow all incoming connections" is chosen or that "Set access for specific services and applications" is chosen and that StereoStream is in the list of allowed applications.
